Arnold Ridley - Born Today In 1896
Before joining the ranks of Walmington-On-Sea Home Guard Arnold lead a very active life as a stage-writer, actor, teacher and a soldier serving in both World Wars.
Arnold was probably most famous for writing The Ghost Train, a play which is still widely performed today but unfortunately a play he didn't make a lot of money from.
Arnold's son Nicolas, recently wrote a biography of Arnold's life entitled Godfrey's Ghost.
