Sketchbook: Ken Jones Statue Appeal

One of the best parts of my job is occasionally designing logos for various campaigns that spring from the various publications I work on. The Monmouthshire and Pontypool Free Press recently got behind an appeal to raise money for a statue to remember Welsh international rugby player of the 1960s Ken Jones.

I was really quite pleased with the logo and its great to see it popping up at various fund raising events. The Free Press editor, David Edler showed me a t-shirt worn at a fund-raising collection prior to the Gwent Dragons game at Rodney Parade, Newport last Saturday. Well done to all the campaigners who raised £350 towards the statue.
