Retro Vinyl Finds: Julie Felix and Kenny Lynch

The World Of Julie Felix
There were some nice vinyl finds in Newport indoor market yesterday when I came across two vintage 60s albums.

The first was another in Decca's World of series...

The World of Julie Felix (Decca PA 6) was a compilation issued in 1969 featuring 12 numbers from the Santa Barbara born folk singer who rose to prominence in the UK from her appearances on The Frost Report.

I've always loved Julie's voice so this was a great album for me to find! This album, a mono original, was a bargain at a £1!

We Like Kenny
The second find was a mid-60s compilation on Music for Pleasure from singer/songwriter and entertainer Kenny Lynch.

We Like Kenny (MFP 1022)  features several chart hits including Puff and Stand By Me along and his cover of The Beatles Misery.

I've always enjoyed Kenny's music, (his version of Up On The Roof was always a favourite) but have never come across an LP of his material before so this was a nice find for 50p!

Both artists are still working in the business and have their own websites - check them out here!
